Just like science, mathematics cannot be restricted to classrooms and books, this is why Presidium school has a built in mathematics laboratory. It is a place where Presidians can experiment and explore patterns and ideas through implementation. It is a place where one can find a collection of games, puzzles, and other teaching and learning tools.

These tools are meant to be used both by the students on their own and also with their teacher to explore the world of mathematics. It is a place where anyone can generate problems and struggle to get an answer. It is a space to explore and design new mathematical activities. So, the maths lab should not be used to assess students’ knowledge of mathematics rather it should be considered a place where students gain knowledge beyond the curriculum
